We are a couple (Lars & Gitte), we live on a small island called Bornholm. 2002 Darko came to our life, and we were happy.

Lars is grown up with Boxers and dachshund and haven’t hat dog since he left home.

I Gitte is from a home were we at first had a dachshund, later we got a Dobermann to witch I was much attached. When she died we got a Labrador, but shortly after I left home.

Soon I found out something was missing, therefore I got my first Newfoundland. I hat 3 of them. At a dog show I fall in love with a dog named Hasse, he was a Samoyed. I got a puppy after Hasse, and afterwards another Samoyed came into my life.

When I lost my last Samoyed, I didn’t want us to have another dog. Lars means that a dog should be trained hard and do what ever it is told. Therefore no dog.

But, but it shouldn’t be that way. After 2 years without dogs, one day Lars asked if we should get a new dog, then I had someone to look after me when Lars isn’t at home. Lars work requires days and longer periods away from home. Lars demand was a shorthaired, easy to train and no hunting dog.

I started to check out all the breeds. The dog I found maybe wasn’t the most shorthaired, but according to the description of the Eurasier it was a quiet dog that didn’t hunt and it seems to be a very beautiful animal.

I found a puppy in Sweden and we could get him. We went 700 km to Mora, Leiionspitz and picked up Darko.

Now a new life started. I have been worried that Lars would be to rough with our little dog, but already on the way home Darko wants to stay with Lars, and a love grow that is hard to describe. Now I had to stop Lars in spoiling the dog.

Lars mostly takes care of the funny things, like going to the beach and in the forest. I practice obedience, agility, rally-obedience and blood track with Darko. Darko hasn’t read the breed standard, Eurasier don’t have any hunting instinct. We also have been on a lot of shows, where we have met many wonderful people.

We are incredible happy getting such a lovely puppy from Leiionspitz. We can’t imagine how our life would be without a Eurasier in the house.

We did it again, we made another trip to Sweden-Leiionspitz by Marita and Göran, and picked up another lovely puppy. A little girl called Leiionspitz Qela.
